Scale models of whales. You can make an aquarium in your classroom. Choose your scale and makes different species of whales to scale to hang from the ceiling. (Photo from E.E. Little school).
Humpback whale tails are all unique. In art class, student could cut out a whale tail. Fold it in half. Put paint on one side, fold over and rub a little. Open it up and give your whale a name based on what you see. (Like an inkblot or Rorschach test.)
