Large container ships are threats to whales. The more we buy products from the US, the less the whales will be impacted by vessel noise and potential strikes. (To get an idea of size of this vessel, the small boat in the left side of the picture is 50 ft. long.)
Monterey Bay Aquarium has a program called Seafood Watch, which categorizes seafood into best choice, better alternative and avoid. Search the website or download the app. Can you make choices from the BEST list most the time?
Be vocal about protecting our planet. Contact your representatives when there are issues you feel strongly about!
